Inside Verve – Brooke presents herself
Ahhh London!
Having just moved to a new city (and a new country!) and now with a solid two months under my belt as part of the growing and dynamic team here at Verve, what better way than to introduce myself here on the Verve blog than by starting off sharing some of the fun things I’ve learned along the way since moving to London.
So, what really happens when you trade the California sun for London hustle?…
- You’ll feel like a hamster navigating the underground tunnels during the morning commute chaos… “Just stand behind the yellow line. Please!”
AmericanBritish English… is the only English… and you’ll pick up lots of new British phrases.- Flats become your new best friend… cobblestone roads and commute hustle, just leave behind the suitcase full of heels.
- Afternoon tea time… is real and your colleagues will grade you on your A+ tea making abilities.
- The rain really isn’t that bad… and that’s saying a lot coming from a Californian!
- London really is a friendly city… there are always people to meet & always something going on!
- The London pub culture… is everywhere!
Perhaps this post will inspire the famous Verve “pub-ucation” tour that is in order!
